High-Performance Super Flat Placement on 24”–60” Industrial Slabs
Super flat floors become exponentially more demanding as slab thickness increases.
At a large-scale chemical facility, a 350,000 square foot industrial floor required placement across slab thicknesses ranging from 24 inches to 60 inches. On slabs of this magnitude, traditional screed control methods become inefficient, and achieving high flatness numbers is significantly more difficult.
MAKO Screed Support Systems were paired with the Lura Lightning Strike Roller Screed to manage elevation control across extreme slab depths.
On one critical section of the project, the system achieved:

Those numbers represent elite super flat performance — especially on slab thicknesses extending up to five feet.
The combination of mechanically adjustable MAKO screed supports and the high-performance Lightning Strike roller screed provided consistent grade control across long runs. Mechanical elevation control reduced reliance on improvised shimming and minimized variability across reinforced sections.
