Concrete Screed Support Systems for Vapor Barrier Slabs

MADE in USA

Fast setup. Accurate and repeatable elevation. Compatible with hand or laser setups. Designed for contractors who need speed without sacrificing flatness.

The MAKO Vapor Barrier Structural System is designed to provide stable elevation control when concrete slabs are poured over vapor barriers, poly sheeting, insulation, or other non-penetrating substrates. Traditional screed chairs and supports often rely on mounting structures driven into the subgrade, which is not possible when a vapor barrier must remain intact.

Best For: Vapor Barrier pours, Concrete overlays, Drains, Rail Critical, High FF/FL Floors, Tennis Courts, Gymnasims, Swimming Pools, Waterways, Performance concrete, Pan Decks, Sloped slabs, Tunnels, Super Thick Floors, Manufacturing plant slabs, Embankments, Bridge decks and infrastructure projects, Super flat floors requiring FF/FL compliance and more.

HOW TO USE

Draw string line to finished elevation.
Insert mounting structure into screed chair.
Drive until marker aligns with string line.
Move to next chair.

Repeatable. Accurate. Fast. Eliminates elevation guesswork.
Ensures consistent screed support height every time

Its patented internal “fins” in each MAKO screed chair hug the mounting structure so the chair will not bounce off rebar or rod during concrete placement.

Using MAKO Screed chairs with the FinStand®, CoilStand®, and Base Plate assemblies, contractors can create fully adjustable support systems that sit securely on the vapor barrier while supporting screed rails, lumber screeds, anchor bolts, embeds, threaded rods, and other structural elements. The Base Plate distributes load across the surface, preventing punctures while maintaining precise elevation control during concrete placement.
